The Audio Techinca ATH-ES7 are very slim and sleek closed back dynamic range circumaural headphones finished in a polished mirror finish for outer case. The main problem is keeping finger prints off the case. The frequency range is wide from 5 to 30,000 Hz and nominal impedance is 32 ohms.
I set these babies to task by listening to various types of jazz. Jazz is my main type of music that I listen to and what was immediately apparent was the fluid detail, openness and warmth these cans were able to deliver. These are a set of sweet sounding cans and one does not get tired after listening for a while. Unlike some very up market cans which can be extremely detailed and aggressive, one can get tired very quickly.
The Audio Technica ATH-ES7 cans are a joy to listen to and use. Any serious Head-Fi addict should have a pair in his/her armoury. Out of five, I would give the 4.7 stars.
